About
The Dr. Jade Guerra Chronic Disease Recovery
Scholarship

The Dr. Jade Guerra Chronic Disease Recovery Scholarship was founded on our belief in the power of resilience and the human spirit's ability to triumph over adversity. Named in honor of Dr. Jade Guerra, a pioneering advocate for chronic disease awareness, this annual scholarship is a beacon of hope for students who have faced the challenges of chronic illnesses, either as patients themselves or as caregivers to loved ones.

This scholarship awards $1,000 to two students in pursuit of a higher education annually. The Dr. Jade Guerra Chronic Disease Recovery Scholarship is open to all high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students of all majors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 weighted. Applicants must be either currently enrolled or have been accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning in the USA. International students are invited to apply.

Along with their application, students should provide a link to a 1 to 3 minute video essay sharing how they have overcome being impacted by chronic disease directly or indirectly. Note: It is not a requirement to be on camera for the video.

Whether it's conquering personal health battles or standing by a family member or friend in their journey, we celebrate those who've turned adversity into motivation. The Dr. Jade Guerra Chronic Disease Recovery Scholarship seeks to honor these stories of triumph, resilience, and recovery. Join us in creating a brighter future for these exceptional individuals as they continue to rise above the challenges that chronic diseases can present.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a stepping stone to education for those who have demonstrated remarkable courage and strength in navigating the complexities of chronic diseases. We understand that such circumstances can impact not only one's physical health but also their academic and personal pursuits.
